How we safeguard safety: FSSC 22000
Our products are made in a production environment certified to FSSC 22000 — an internationally recognised food safety standard, independently audited. What it is, and why it matters to you, we explain honestly here.
Why this page
Rather show than say “just trust us”.
With a supplement, you can’t see from the outside how carefully it was made. You see a capsule and a label — for the rest, you just have to believe it. We don’t think that’s good enough.
FSSC 22000 is one of the ways we do things differently. It isn’t a marketing term or a logo we award ourselves; it’s an internationally recognised standard that our production environment genuinely meets, checked by an independent party. The only thing is: hardly anyone knows exactly what it involves.
With supplements in particular, this matters. You take them daily, often for a long time, and in concentrated form. That calls for a process in which nothing is left to chance.

What is FSSC 22000?
Food Safety System Certification — a certification of the entire system used to make food and supplements, from incoming raw material to the product leaving the site. It isn’t about a single check afterwards, but about safety built into every step.

FSSC 22000 is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) — the collaboration in which leading organisations worldwide align food safety standards. That recognition places it among the world’s most widely accepted food safety standards.

Consistency
Not one good batch, but every batch. A certified system is built to deliver the same safe result every time — whether you’re buying your first jar or your twentieth.

Built-in safety
The risks are thought through and controlled in advance. That’s fundamentally different from a product that’s only checked afterwards: here, safety is part of the process itself.

Independent assessment
We don’t decide for ourselves whether we comply. An external, accredited body does — in our case Kiwa — carrying out regular audits. If the environment no longer complies, the certification lapses.
The checks behind it
A status you have to earn again and again.
A quality mark is only worth as much as the checks behind it. With FSSC 22000, those checks are strict and, more importantly, ongoing.
It starts with a thorough initial audit, in which the certification body assesses the entire food safety system — not just on paper, but in practice at the production site. After that come annual surveillance audits and, periodically, a full reassessment.
A certificate you obtain once and keep forever says little. This is explicitly the opposite: a status you only keep for as long as you structurally comply, checked by someone with the authority to withdraw it.

A certification of the production environment and the system used to make your supplement. It ensures the process meets a strict, independently checked standard.
Not a laboratory test of the contents of every individual jar. That’s a different question — “what exactly is in this product?” — and we answer it in a different way.
We tell you about this distinction on purpose. Many brands deliberately let certifications sound vague, as if one quality mark covers everything. We don’t. Precisely by being clear about what FSSC 22000 does and doesn’t do, you know you can rely on the rest of our story.
Not asking for trust, but earning it.
FSSC 22000 is the foundation of that: the independently assured base on which everything rests — the certainty that the place where your supplement is made meets one of the strictest food safety standards in the world, checked by someone other than ourselves.
It’s part of how we work: careful at the source, transparent towards you, and verifiable rather than merely promised. A quality mark you don’t understand doesn’t build trust. One you do understand, does.
